A temporary information center for the construction of the Vltavská Philharmonic in Prague, located at the Vltavská/Bulovka site. The building is conceived as a circular, ramp-like structure with a distinctive red ring form that serves as both an architectural landmark and a functional information pavilion.
The building is filled with expanding ramps that are covered from the outside, with tall and wide windows between them creating a deliberately perforated appearance. The structure features a ground floor, mezzanine level, and roof terrace accessible via the spiraling ramp. The circular form creates a compact footprint while maximizing interior and exterior exhibition space. The concept draws from the idea that the information center should not only serve its primary function but also relate to the future Vltavská Philharmonic building. The design incorporates spaces for exhibitions, information displays, and public gathering, with the ramp providing a continuous promenade experience. The exterior features graffiti walls, cultural spaces, and even an outdoor basketball court, making it a vibrant community hub.
The site is located near metro Vltavská, adjacent to park Vltavská and ulice Příst. Sochara. Plans shown at 1:200 scale include ground floor plan, mezzanine plan, and roof plan. Sections A-A and B-B at 1:200 show the internal organization with floor levels marked. The building uses a structural system that supports the continuous spiral ramp with heights varying from ground level. East and south elevations at 1:200 are provided. The podium is approximately 500mm high. The structure employs prefabricated elements and demountable construction suited to its temporary nature.
