A film museum designed as a bunker-like monolithic structure that serves as a cultural gateway, combining cinema heritage with science and public engagement in an urban context near the National Technical Museum.
The Film Museum BUNKR is conceived as a multifunctional cultural building. The ground floor (1NP) serves as the entrance gateway and back-of-house facilities, with the building acting as a complex urban connector linking the surrounding streets and public spaces. The second floor (2NP) is dedicated to the world of cinematography, featuring multipurpose halls, screening rooms, and spaces for permanent and temporary film exhibitions, along with educational workshops. The third floor (3NP) houses exposition and science spaces, with the uppermost level featuring open gallery areas focused on the intersection of film, technology, and visual arts, complemented by a public roof terrace and an astronomical observation room.
The project includes floor plans at 1:250 scale for three levels (1NP, 2NP, 3NP), east and north elevations at 1:250, two sections (A-A and B-B) at 1:250, a site plan at 1:1000, a broader context site plan at 1:5000, and axonometric views. The building has a robust, regular structural grid with a perforated facade featuring rhythmic vertical window openings in a concrete or stone-clad exterior.
