The main idea of the project is to create a residential building that provides a pleasant and safe environment for people with special needs, offering them comfort, dignity, and a sense of freedom, while the building itself becomes a natural part of the surrounding neighborhood.
Domov Vážka is a special regime care home (Dům zvláštního režimu) located in Prague 5. The project proposes a modern architectural and spatial solution for assisted living. The building contains approximately 84 rooms distributed across floors for up to 93 residents. The ground floor features shared community spaces with a garden connection. The spatial arrangement includes parking in the underground level for 2 floors of garages and areas for staff. Each room has a floor area of approximately 42.8 m², with a usable area of 16.8 m² and an accessory area of 22.6 m². All double-occupancy rooms can be divided according to individual needs of residents.
The building documentation includes underground parking (1.PP), ground floor (1.NP), and upper floor (3.NP) plans at 1:200 scale. Four elevations are provided: south, east, west views and a section A-A. The material scheme includes concrete, wood-like cladding elements, glass facades, and green roof elements. The site plan shows the building's integration into the urban context with surrounding greenery and access routes. The situation plan is at 1:1000 scale showing broader urban relationships.
