Project idea

A multifunctional social-sports complex located on the southern edge of a city, connecting with the surrounding urban fabric and transport infrastructure.

Project description

The project is a social-sports complex (Společensko-sportovní komplex) designed as a multifunctional center integrating sports and community facilities. The concept follows principles of autonomous massing, urban connectivity, and layered programming. The building features a distinctive wooden-clad upper volume with vertical timber elements resting on a concrete base with stepped public spaces. The design incorporates a sports hall, community spaces, and public areas that serve as a transitional zone between the city and the river/waterfront. The stepped terraces create an active edge that engages pedestrians and connects different levels of the site.

Technical information

The project includes site plans showing urban relationships, cross-sections (Řez A-A', Řez B-B'), floor plans (Půdorysy), and a southern elevation (Rozvinutý pohled jižní). Statistical data for the territory includes built area, green areas, paved surfaces, and parking spaces. The structural concept uses a concrete lower structure with a timber-clad upper volume. The sections show the relationship between the sports hall volume and the lower public/commercial spaces, with multiple levels accommodating different programmatic requirements.
