A museum and hostel accommodation facility designed to bring hope and community engagement, featuring a distinctive red clay masonry facade with vertical timber elements.
The project is a mixed-use building combining museum, hostel accommodation, reception, and communal spaces. The design employs a strong materiality with red clay masonry, stained steel, concrete, glass, and diamond glass elements. The building is organized across multiple floors with distinct functional zones including reception areas, hostel blocks, and museum spaces. The architectural concept draws from the local context with the building form creating a strong street presence while integrating landscape elements. The facade design utilizes a rhythm of vertical elements in varying materials creating depth and visual interest.
The building features a structural system using concrete and clay masonry load-bearing walls. Materials include stained steel, clay masonry, concrete, glass, and diamond glass as indicated in the materials legend. Floor plans show ground floor and first floor arrangements with clear circulation routes. Cross sections reveal the building's relationship to the sloping site. Four elevations (north, south, east, west) demonstrate the consistent facade treatment with vertical fenestration patterns.
