Project idea

A pedestrian and cyclist footbridge connecting Městys Třebaň and Zadní Třebaň across the river, creating a new infrastructure link between the two settlements.

Project description

The project proposes a new footbridge (lávka) between Městys Třebaň and Zadní Třebaň. The bridge design features a cable-stayed structural system with distinctive curved deck geometry and a central pylon with radiating cable stays creating a tent-like canopy structure. The design integrates into the existing riverside landscape while providing covered passage areas. The bridge serves as both a functional crossing for pedestrians and cyclists and an architectural landmark that enhances the connection between the two communities.

Technical information

The bridge employs a cable-stayed structural system with a sinuous deck profile. The main structural element is a central mast/pylon from which cables radiate to support the deck. The design includes detailed cross-sections showing the deck construction, cable anchorage details, and foundation systems. Construction sequencing is shown in phases for the pedestrian walkway. The plan view reveals the curved alignment of the bridge deck and its connection to existing infrastructure on both banks.
