Revitalization and urban transformation of the former Avia Letňany industrial area into a mixed-use neighborhood with a central park, community facilities, and adaptive reuse of existing industrial structures.
The project proposes a comprehensive urban design for the former Avia industrial complex in the Letňany district of Prague. The design creates a new urban quarter centered around a large green park space with several key buildings labeled A through D. The plan integrates existing industrial heritage structures — notably large hangar-like buildings with distinctive roof forms — with new development. The central park features extensive tree planting, pathways, and public gathering spaces. The surrounding blocks contain mixed-use programs including residential, commercial, and cultural functions. A circular building serves as a focal point within the composition. The scheme carefully considers the relationship between built form and open space, creating varied urban experiences from intimate courtyards to expansive parkland.
The project includes detailed floor plans at multiple levels (1.NP, 2.NP, etc.) for the key buildings. Site plans show the overall layout with building footprints, landscape design, and circulation networks. Sections and elevations illustrate the spatial relationships between existing industrial structures and new interventions. The floor plans indicate various programmatic uses distributed across the buildings. Construction phasing appears to be addressed with concepts, traces, and structure diagrams shown in the lower portion of the board.
