A special-regime residential home located in Prague 5, designed to create a dignified and comfortable living environment for residents requiring specialized care. The building is conceived as a complex that integrates into the existing urban context while providing both residential and social services.
The architectural design aims to create a home with a special regime (Domov se zvláštním režimem) in Prague 5. The fundamental concept is based on a courtyard-type building that responds to the surrounding urban context of the Bulovka area. The design creates a residential facility that combines living spaces with social care services. The building form uses pitched roofs and a material palette of light-colored plaster facades to harmonize with the neighborhood character. The complex includes multiple floor levels with varied floor plans accommodating different unit types and common spaces. The ground floor features social service studios and communal areas, while upper floors contain residential units. The concept works with the relationship between interior and exterior spaces, creating courtyards and garden areas for residents.
The documentation includes floor plans from ground floor through 5th floor, cross-sections, elevations (southwest and northeast), and an exploded axonometric drawing showing the building's massing. The material scheme features a green roof system and light plaster facades. The building section shows the relationship to the surrounding development context. The site plan demonstrates the architectural situation and broader urban relationships within Prague.
