Project idea

A pedestrian and cyclist footbridge spanning the Berounka River, connecting the municipalities of Hlásná Třebaň and Zadní Třebaň, designed as an elegant arched structure that harmonizes with the surrounding natural landscape.

Project description

The bridge design serves as a key connection point between Hlásná Třebaň and Zadní Třebaň across the Berounka River. The structure features a flowing, organic arch form that creates an iconic crossing point while respecting the natural riverine environment. The design considers the landscape context with approaches integrating into the existing terrain on both banks. The bridge deck accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists, with the structural arch rising above to create a distinctive silhouette against the river valley landscape. The project includes site planning showing the integration of the bridge with existing paths and access routes on both sides of the river.

Technical information

The structure is based on a steel arch bridge typology with a curved deck. Cross-sections (Řez A, B, C at 1:100 scale) show the varying profile of the bridge along its length. Structural analysis was performed using SCIA software, with results showing deformation under self-weight and pedestrian/cyclist loading, as well as wind load analysis from the northeast direction. The board includes MSP (serviceability limit state) assessments for deck deflection and arch deflection under both permanent and total loading conditions. Details at 1:20 scale show connection points and material specifications. The bridge deck section (Řez mostovkou) at 1:20 shows the cross-sectional composition. A profile listing (Výpis profilů) documents the structural steel sections used. The plan is shown at 1:200 scale with east and west elevations provided.
