The aim was to design a multifunctional building in Veltrusy that serves as a cultural and community center for the town, combining administrative, cultural, and social functions in a coherent architectural form.
The multifunctional building is designed as a contemporary addition to the town of Veltrusy, incorporating a cultural hall (Kulturní sál), spaces for seniors, administrative functions, and community gathering areas. The project consists of two main volumes - a primary building for public and cultural use and a secondary building for senior services. The ground floor contains public functions including the cultural salon and associated facilities, while the upper floor accommodates additional program. The building features a distinctive facade with vertical timber cladding that creates a modern yet contextual appearance. The surrounding landscape is designed with gardens and outdoor spaces including a courtyard area serving as a center for senior groups and community activities.
The documentation includes floor plans for 1.NP and 2.NP, two cross-sections (Řez AA' and Řez BB'), western and southern elevations (Západní pohled, Jižní pohled), an axonometric view showing the massing and roof forms, and a site plan (Situace širších vztahů) showing the building's context within the urban fabric of Veltrusy. The building is organized with the cultural hall as the primary volume and supporting functions arranged around a courtyard garden.
