Project idea

Connecting nature, architecture, and modern education. The design aims to create a gymnasium that integrates the surrounding natural environment with contemporary architectural principles to support modern educational methods.

Project description

The project proposes a new gymnasium (secondary school) in Jesenice, designed as a three-story building with a brick and glass facade. The building is organized around functional zones including classrooms, common spaces, and sports facilities including an outdoor sports field. The concept emphasizes the connection between indoor educational spaces and the surrounding landscape, with generous glazing and outdoor areas. The building features a courtyard-like arrangement that creates sheltered exterior spaces while maintaining visual connections to the broader context.

Technical information

The building is a three-story structure with a clear structural grid system. Floor plans show 1NP (ground floor), 2NP (second floor), and 3NP (third floor) with classrooms and circulation spaces. The structural scheme indicates a regular column grid. The facade features external window shading elements. Sections (Řez A-A' and Řez B-B') show the building's vertical organization. Four elevations are provided: south, east, north, and west. The facade color scheme incorporates brick tones with lighter elements.
