The project proposes a new gymnasium (secondary school) building in Jesenice near Prague, responding to the growing suburban population's need for educational facilities. The design focuses on creating quality learning environments while respecting the surrounding urban context.
The school building is organized into volumes of varying heights up to three stories, creating a dynamic composition that responds to the surrounding residential scale. The design separates functional zones - classrooms, sports facilities including a gymnasium hall, and common spaces. The building features generous glazing on the ground floor creating transparency and connection to the exterior. The layout includes floor plans across multiple levels (1.NP, 2.NP, 3.NP, and 1.PP) with clearly organized classrooms, corridors, a sports hall, and auxiliary spaces. The architectural expression uses a restrained material palette with the school name prominently displayed on the facade.
The project includes floor plans at 1:300 scale, two building sections (A-A and B-B at 1:300), four elevations (northwest, northeast, southwest, and southeast at 1:300), a site plan at 1:500, and a wider context plan at 1:1000. The structural solution is presented through exploded axonometric diagrams showing the spatial organization and construction layers. The building includes a partially underground level (1.PP) accommodating additional program.
