Project idea

The main inspiration of the design is the urban context and the character of existing buildings. The building is set into the terrain with a saddle roof structure, connecting the public building into the wider context of the area and creating a readable urban structure.

Project description

The building is located in the town of Jesenice near Prague. The design responds to the surrounding residential area and integrates into the urban fabric of the town. The gymnasium features green-colored façade elements and a series of saddle roofs that echo the surrounding residential character. The project includes an axonometric view showing the massing and spatial arrangement, floor plans, sections, elevations, and site plans demonstrating how the school fits into the broader urban context.

Technical information

The documentation includes floor plans, cross sections, longitudinal sections, and multiple elevations. The spatial solution is illustrated through axonometric diagrams showing the building's volumetric composition. A site plan and a wider context situation plan are provided showing the relationship of the building to the surrounding neighborhood and road network.
