A house with a special regime in Prague 5. The project explores prefabricated panels of 700-2000mm dimensions for construction of a residential care facility. The structural grid and module of 1200mm allows systematic arrangement of rooms and facades with varied material compositions.
DEM-DOM is a residential care home located in Prague 5. The building concept involves creating a basement and ground floor platform with public and semi-public functions, above which rises a residential block providing individual living units. The design addresses the relationship between public and private space, incorporating therapeutic gardens and outdoor areas. The facade features a rhythmic pattern of vertical wooden louvers and panels that provide shading and visual variety. The project includes double-occupancy rooms in two variants, communal spaces, and garden areas for residents.
The documentation includes floor plans for underground level (1.PP), ground floor (1.NP), second floor (2.NP), and typical upper floor (3.NP). The facade detail shows the prefabricated panel system. Materials include dark and earth-toned finishes. The northern elevation faces Ulice Pekařská. Section A-A shows the building's vertical organization. The site plan demonstrates the urban context and broader relationships of the building within the neighborhood.
