The goal was to design a modern building for a four-year and eight-year gymnasium. The building should provide a pleasant environment for students and create a representative space for the town, serving as a place that brings people together and offers new opportunities.
The school is conceived as a set of three main blocks - classrooms and facilities, a gymnasium, and an administrative section connected around a central courtyard. The building is oriented to take advantage of natural light and is designed to integrate with the surrounding urban context. The courtyard creates a semi-public space that serves both the school and the community. The school is located on a site in Jesenice near Prague, situated on the edge of the town's built-up area with good transport connections.
The building consists of up to 3 above-ground floors and 1 underground floor. The spatial program includes classrooms, a gymnasium, dining hall, teacher and administrative facilities, dining support spaces, hygiene facilities for students, and utility spaces. The construction uses a combination of structural systems as shown in the construction scheme diagrams. Floor plans show 1PP (underground), 1NP, 2NP, and 3NP levels. The board includes longitudinal and transverse sections, four elevations (northwest, southwest, southeast, northeast), and a site plan.
