1. PROJECT IDEA
Czech core: Lávka propojuje břehy řeky Berounky v Hlásné Třebáni. Cílem je vytvořit subtilní, elegantní konstrukci, která minimálně narušuje krajinný ráz, bezpečně převede pěší a cyklisty i během povodní a vytvoří nové místo pro setkávání a výhledy na řeku.

"The main idea of the project is to connect the banks of the Berounka River in Hlásná Třebaň through a subtle and elegant footbridge that harmoniously blends into the surrounding natural landscape. The design responds to the need for a safe, barrier-free connection for pedestrians and cyclists, while respecting the river's hydrological conditions (such as flood risks). Beyond its transport function, the footbridge serves as a new public space and a scenic viewpoint, bringing people closer to the river and enhancing the local community life.

Project description

The project consists of the following key components:

The Footbridge Structure: A single-span, gently arched bridge crossing the river without supporting pillars in the waterbed to ensure undisturbed water flow.

Access Ramps and Staircases: Integrated barrier-free ramps and steps providing seamless access for all users, including cyclists, strollers, and people with reduced mobility.

Bank Revitalization: Adaptation of the public spaces adjacent to the bridgehead on both riverbanks, including new seating areas, landscaping, and connections to existing pedestrian pathways.

Technical information

The technical specification of the footbridge includes:

Superstructure: A lightweight, high-strength steel (or prestressed concrete/hybrid) arched structure designed to withstand extreme structural loads and flood events.

Substructure: Deep-founded reinforced concrete abutments located safely on both riverbanks outside the standard active flood zone.

Deck and Railing: The bridge deck is equipped with an anti-slip surface for maximum safety. The integrated minimalist railing features built-in LED strip lighting to ensure safety at night while preventing light pollution in the river valley.
