A football stadium design for Mladá Boleslav that replaces the existing multifunctional arena with a modern facility featuring an innovative membrane roof technology and a capacity of 8000 seats.
The project proposes a comprehensive reconstruction of the existing football stadium in Mladá Boleslav. The design features a distinctive undulating membrane roof structure supported by cable-stayed masts, creating a visually striking and functional canopy over the spectator stands. The stadium is designed with a total capacity of approximately 8000 seats. The architectural concept emphasizes the creation of a multifunctional facility that serves not only as a football venue but also integrates additional functions within the building's volume. The facade features organic circular openings (oculi) that provide natural light and visual interest to the exterior envelope. The design carefully considers the urban context and broader relationships with the surrounding area of Mladá Boleslav.
The structural system employs an innovative membrane technology for the roof, supported by cable-stayed steel masts. The construction details show multiple variants (Detail A, B, C) of the membrane-to-mast connections and tensioning mechanisms. The building is organized across three floors (1.NP, 2.NP, 3.NP) with the program distributed according to functional requirements. The schematic section reveals the stepped seating arrangement and the relationship between the roof structure and the stands. Elevations are provided from the south, northeast, and southeast directions. Construction details illustrate the sophisticated tensile roof connections with various membrane attachment solutions.
