Project idea

A family house designed with respect to the terrain and surrounding context, utilizing differentiation of volumes according to function, cooperation with the terrain, and use of existing vegetation systems.

Project description

The project is a family house located in Závist, designed within the Atelier Taraba-Novotná. The design respects the wider urban context and the sloping terrain of the site. The house is organized into differentiated volumes according to their functions, working with the natural topography. The architectural concept incorporates existing greenery and aims for a sensitive integration into the landscape. The building features a two-story layout with ground floor and upper floor plans, with living spaces oriented to take advantage of views and natural light. The material palette includes brick/corten-like cladding combined with white rendered surfaces and dark window frames.

Technical information

The project includes ground floor (1.NP) and upper floor (2.NP) plans, sections A-A' and B-B', elevations (pohledy), a complex building section (komplexní řez) showing construction details including roof, wall, and foundation assemblies. The site plan shows the building placement on the plot with landscaping. The axonometric drawing illustrates the spatial organization of the house on the terrain.
