Octavia Residential Complex

Danil Titov

Project idea

The project was developed for the city of Yaroslavl and is located at 4 Lenin Avenue. It was created in response to a request from the city administration for the comprehensive development of central areas and the renovation of the housing stock. The site is currently occupied by residential buildings from the Stalin era, which are in a state of disrepair and need to be replaced.

The central concept of the project is to reinterpret the historical context through the lens of contemporary architecture. The new building maintains a connection with the character of Lenin Avenue’s development through compositional techniques, the proportions of the facades, the rhythm of the window openings, and the use of an expressive silhouette. At the same time, the project’s architectural language remains contemporary, reflecting the needs of 21st-century residents and current approaches to shaping the urban environment.

Project description

The complex creates a new focal point within the urban fabric, combining residential use with public spaces on the ground floor. The project demonstrates the potential for the careful renewal of the existing urban fabric, where historical heritage serves as a source of inspiration for creating modern and comfortable architecture.

Technical information

The project is a multi-unit residential complex featuring built-in communal spaces on the ground floor and underground parking. The building is constructed using a brick structural system that ensures durability, energy efficiency, and a high level of acoustic comfort.

The exterior walls are made of brick using modern thermal insulation solutions that meet energy efficiency requirements. The architectural design combines traditional materials with modern construction technologies, ensuring a high-quality urban environment and the durability of the building.
