Project idea

The world in on the brink. With the threat of ecological collapse drawing ever closer, all life is under threat.
Following that bleak worldview, this structure takes inspiration from the Founding Titan's form, symbolizing the looming threat of global annihilation.

Project description

The building’s initial color scheme draws inspiration from the aesthetics of contemporary technology: minimalist, sleek, and dark, accented by sharp white lines. This visual language, a symbol of technological progress in the 21st century, in truth is a corporate strategy: the fragility of such refined forms ensures rapid deterioration, binding consumers to a cycle of endless consumption, replacement and profit for the capitalist elite.

Adopted to evoke the image of advanced technology, the intent was not to echo the aforementioned ideology of material consumption. Thus, across the black façade, a rainbow-like spectrum of color bursts through the technological edifice, a vivid eruption of a myriad of colors, symbolizing humanity’s richness and diversity, in defiance of sterile perfection and corporate design Inclinations.

Inside, the polychromatic hues continue, embodying the introverted spirit of traditional Iranian architecture, where interiors bloom with life and color in contrast to restrained exteriors -an inward celebration of the human soul.

The dichotomy between technological progress and human soul.

With the parametric structure resembling a Hallucigenia and façade inspired by fins and sponge pores used for passive cooling, the form of the structure is Inspired by the form of Cambrian-era life.

Technical information

The parametric façade is held by the reinforced-concrete "spine", under which the main structure is constructed, featuring reinforced-concrete columns and triangular waffle slab flooring.
