Project idea

Quantum Qiddiya is a futuristic entertainment, educational, and cultural destination located in Qiddiya, Riyadh. The project is inspired by the robotic shoulder joint, symbolizing movement, flexibility, innovation, and human–technology integration. The design aims to create an iconic landmark that combines advanced technology, interactive experiences, hospitality, and public spaces within a unified architectural identity. The project provides a dynamic environment where visitors can learn, explore, and experience the future of entertainment while supporting Saudi Vision 2030 and Qiddiya's ambition to become a global destination.

Project description

The project consists of several interconnected zones designed around a central public experience. The development includes a Robotics Museum, Innovation Center, Interactive Exhibition Spaces, Educational Facilities, Entertainment Venues, Commercial Areas, Restaurants and Cafés, Luxury Hospitality Facilities, Public Plazas, and Observation Tower. The architectural masses are organized to encourage connectivity, social interaction, and smooth circulation while maximizing views, natural lighting, and outdoor experiences. The project integrates advanced technology with immersive visitor experiences, creating a destination that attracts tourists, students, researchers, families, and business visitors.

Technical information

The project is designed using a modular architectural approach inspired by robotic movement and mechanical articulation. The structural system consists of reinforced concrete cores combined with steel framing to achieve large-span spaces and complex organic forms. Sustainable design strategies include natural daylight optimization, energy-efficient façade systems, landscape integration, shaded pedestrian pathways, water-efficient planting, and smart building technologies. The development incorporates universal accessibility standards, fire and life safety systems, intelligent circulation networks, and sustainable environmental solutions to ensure long-term operational efficiency and visitor comfort.
