A multifunctional sport complex integrated with a Museum of Light for the Brokis brand in Janstein, combining sports facilities with cultural and exhibition spaces that celebrate light design.
The project transforms an existing sport complex site in Janstein into a comprehensive facility that includes sports halls, accommodation, and a museum dedicated to light. The design features a concrete structural framework with modular facade elements incorporating varied window configurations and balconies. The complex is organized around a central athletic track and sports field, with buildings arranged to create defined outdoor spaces. The architectural language uses a raw concrete aesthetic with pink/red accent elements that highlight circulation paths and key programmatic zones. The building includes multiple levels with sports facilities at ground level, accommodation units above, and public gathering spaces throughout.
The building employs a reinforced concrete structural system with a modular grid. Floor plans show sport halls, accommodation rooms, reception areas, and auxiliary spaces organized across multiple levels. Sections reveal the relationship between the sports hall volumes and the residential/museum portions. Material palette includes exposed concrete, glass, and various cladding materials shown in the material samples. The site plan indicates integration with existing urban context including car parking, pedestrian paths, and green areas.
