The concept of the project is to emphasize the connection with nature and the historical past of Vysotsk using materials and color accents. The goal of the project is to create the atmosphere of Finnish glamping in a small Scandinavian town and immerse visitors in the culture of the northern people.
The tour of the glamping site begins in the lobby, where guests can check in and pick up information. Next is the waterfront sauna complex, inspired by the Finnish sauna tradition. The accommodation units are divided into two sections. Family cottages and group accommodations are located deep in the forest, while cabins for couples are situated by the water. The restaurant is connected to the observation deck via an adjacent path. Guests can climb onto the restaurant’s roof to observe nature. In the restaurant’s entrance area, there is a zone with a fire pit for dining al fresco.
In developing the architectural design, I drew inspiration from Scandinavian traditions. The residential modules feature a classic gable roof, while the communal buildings are more reminiscent of contemporary Finnish and Swedish architecture—the roof has an inverted shape and resembles the silhouette of a bird in flight, which also connects the design to the natural surroundings.
