The idea of this project is to transform the TTDC Mahabalipuram Beach Resort into a contemporary wellness destination that celebrates the natural beauty of the Bay of Bengal and the cultural heritage of Mahabalipuram. Modern travelers seek experiences that promote relaxation, mental well-being, and a connection with nature. This project responds to that need by creating immersive hospitality interiors inspired by coastal landscapes, ocean waves, sunlight, and traditional Tamil craftsmanship.
The project consists of the interior design development of the TTDC Mahabalipuram Beach Resort, with a primary focus on hospitality and wellness spaces. The design includes reception and waiting areas, spa facilities, treatment rooms, relaxation lounges, circulation pathways, and guest interaction spaces.
The spatial planning is designed to maximize natural light, ventilation, and visual connections to the surrounding landscape. Curved circulation routes inspired by ocean waves create a smooth and intuitive movement experience throughout the resort. Natural textures, handcrafted elements, and warm material finishes contribute to a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere.
