Project idea

The project aims to create a modern café in the student center that combines relaxation, socializing, and individual work. The design concept focuses on providing students with a comfortable and multifunctional space where they can socialize, work on academic projects, attend informal meetings, or simply spend their free time. The use of warm, natural materials, furniture arrangement that divides the space into areas for different occupancy times, and modern lighting solutions create an attractive and dynamic hub for student life.

Project description

The student cafe in the leisure center is designed as a multifunctional interior space. The architectural concept combines modern minimalism with natural elements, creating a welcoming atmosphere conducive to productivity and social interaction.

The interior is organized into several functional zones: a mid-day area with open tables with limited seating; closed tables for longer periods of time, providing privacy for discussions and collaboration; a bar counter along the panoramic windows for short stays; a countertop and food and beverage service area; and a handwashing area.

The project's visual identity is based on a neutral color palette, complemented by warm wood textures, frosted glass partitions, decorative wall lighting, and pendant linear luminaires to create a floating ceiling. The use of natural materials and soft, diffused lighting creates a calm and comfortable environment suitable for extended use throughout the day.

The building's façade and architectural form emphasize openness and accessibility, while large glazed surfaces create a visual connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape.

Technical information

The main finishing materials include self-leveling flooring, wooden slats, walls painted with white decorative plaster featuring a three-dimensional decorative pattern, white frosted glass, and textile upholstery. Lighting is provided by pendant linear LED luminaires, recessed ceiling lights, decorative wall lighting, and concealed contour lighting, providing a comfortable level of illumination throughout the day. The layout ensures convenient circulation patterns for visitors, rational furniture placement, and accessibility for people with disabilities.
