Project idea

Sere-ture Multigenerational Wellness Centre is designed as a calm retreat for healing, movement, learning, and social connection. The main idea is to combine serenity, nature, and body therapy into one wellness environment where users can slow down from daily stress and reconnect with themselves. The design uses natural materials, soft curves, greenery, water elements, warm timber, and muted earth tones to create a peaceful atmosphere. Instead of treating wellness as only fitness, the project expands it into a full mind-and-body experience through yoga, therapy, discussion, café, library, garden, and multipurpose community spaces.

Project description

This project proposes a wellness centre that supports different generations and user needs, from relaxation and therapy to fitness, learning, and social interaction. The centre includes a yoga room, sauna room, gym, therapy and training rooms, discussion area, library, leaf café, outdoor garden, relaxing pond, multipurpose hall, workspace, and support facilities. The planning creates a journey from active spaces to quieter healing zones, allowing users to choose between movement, rest, conversation, or personal reflection. The design focuses on creating a healthy lifestyle environment that feels natural, warm, and human, using landscape integration and sensory elements such as light, scent, texture, sound, and water to support emotional and physical wellbeing.

Technical information

Technically, the project is arranged with clear zoning between public, semi-public, and private wellness areas. Larger communal functions such as the multipurpose hall, café, garden, and relaxing pond are placed in more accessible zones, while yoga, sauna, therapy, and quiet rooms are positioned deeper inside for privacy and calmness. The spatial layout uses open circulation, garden pockets, and visual connections to nature to reduce the feeling of enclosure. Materials such as timber flooring, beige wall finishes, natural stone, concrete, rattan, soft fabric, and indoor planting are used to create a warm but durable interior. The colour palette of cream white, light beige, brown, muted green, and dark green supports a calming visual identity. Lighting is kept soft through indirect ceiling lighting, natural daylight, and warm accent lights to enhance comfort. The project also applies biophilic design strategies, including greenery, water features, natural ventilation opportunities, and organic forms, to improve user wellbeing and create a restorative environment.
