Project idea

RECONTAINED is a waterfront housing project in Port Said that transforms decommissioned shipping containers into sustainable and affordable homes. Inspired by the city's maritime identity, the project addresses housing needs while promoting adaptive reuse, environmental responsibility, and community living.

Project description

The project is a mixed-use residential development composed of repurposed shipping containers organized around public spaces and waterfront amenities. It includes residential units, retail areas, community facilities, green spaces, and pedestrian-friendly gathering areas that enhance social interaction and waterfront activation.
