Inspired by Abbas Kiarostami's humanistic vision, the project explores architecture as a platform for culture-making. Movement, dialogue, nature, framing, and human interaction are transformed into a continuous cultural experience where people learn, create, and grow together.
The Abbas Kiarostami Cultural & Art Center is organized around a central cinema, surrounded by galleries, theater, library, educational spaces, café, and courtyard. Inspired by Kiarostami's cinematic language, the project unfolds as a sequence of spatial experiences rather than a single destination.
More than a tribute to Kiarostami, it explores culture-making as a contemporary social process.
The project uses reinforced concrete cores and a lightweight steel space-frame structure to support its fluid geometry. Passive strategies such as natural ventilation, daylight optimization, rainwater collection, and landscape integration enhance environmental performance and long-term sustainability.
