A settlement that normally serves as a neighborhood market and cafe turns into a logistics warehouse and soup kitchen during disaster.
The project is a modular, adaptable building designed to function as a neighborhood market and cafe under normal conditions, transforming into a logistics warehouse and soup kitchen during disasters. The structure operates on three levels: -1 KOT (war level), 0 KOT (normal level), and +1 KOT (flood level). The building features a modular expandable system with quick setup capabilities, mechanical and vertical movement systems, and is designed to be safe for disasters and reusable. The elevated structure on stilts allows it to adapt to flood conditions by raising its functional level.
The building utilizes a modular grid structural system supported on stilts/piles. Three operational levels are defined: -1 KOT for wartime shelter use, 0 KOT for normal everyday market and cafe functions, and +1 KOT for flood conditions. The design incorporates mechanical movement systems for vertical adaptation. Section drawings show the structural framework with detailed dimensions and the relationship between the building and water levels during flooding scenarios.
