Project idea

The goal of this project is to create a modern, energy-efficient cottage designed for the comfortable suburban lifestyle of a contemporary family. The concept is based on the principles of minimalist architecture and the use of eco-friendly materials to achieve maximum comfort and complete privacy.

The main objective of the two-story cottage project is to create an ergonomic, technologically advanced, and aesthetically balanced living space that harmoniously integrates into the family’s daily life. Special priority is given to the building’s self-sufficiency: the implementation of energy-independent engineering solutions ensures the uninterrupted operation of all home systems and the preservation of familiar comfort even during prolonged blackouts.

Project description

The scope of the design solutions includes the complete planning and optimization of the interior space of a two-story cottage. The project involves the functional zoning of the main areas: the first floor is designated as an active communal area (spacious living room, kitchen, gym, terraces), while the second floor is reserved for a private relaxation area for family members and guests.

The project encompasses detailed interior design tailored to the clients’ individual needs, optimization of natural and artificial lighting scenarios, as well as the creation of ergonomic transit zones, hallways, and staircases. To maximize space efficiency, custom built-in furniture and storage systems have been integrated. Particular attention has been paid to the technical integration of autonomous life support systems, alternative energy sources (solar panels, generator), energy storage systems, and ventilation and climate control systems, without compromising the overall aesthetics or the sense of spacious comfort.

Technical information

The building’s structural design involves the use of autoclaved aerated concrete as the primary material for the construction of load-bearing walls and exterior support columns. The exterior wall envelope should be fully insulated against sound and heat using exterior insulation. Thinner interior partitions are designed using drywall for standard areas and moisture-resistant drywall for restrooms and bathrooms.

Energy Independence and Heating – Integration of a hybrid inverter with two batteries for off-grid power, an external generator, an electric boiler, and a water heater.

Climate and Ventilation – Implemented via round plaster diffusers and linear slot diffusers.

Electrical fittings and automation - use of flush-mounted outlets, moisture-proof outlets, as well as touch-sensitive, pass-through switches, and thermostats. For security, a video intercom and automatic fire suppression systems are provided

Lighting: The lighting system is based on a combination of ceiling and spotlights, track systems (suspended and recessed), exterior lighting, and moisture-resistant LED strips

Plumbing and Bathrooms: Installation of wall-mounted toilets and suspended bidet toilets with in-wall installations, corner bathtubs, stone bathtubs, faucets, and shower systems.

Custom furniture designs—technical drawings include large-scale storage systems to optimize available space. With the use of eco-friendly materials
