Kara Transit Hub

Project idea

The project idea is to build a transit hub in kara kore that helps fix the societies major terminal problem and to create a smooth flow of travel in and out of the city, by respecting the use of local material of the site towards sustainable environment.

Project description

Kara transit is a transit hub found in Kara kore, Build to respond to the demand for a designated station and waiting areas for visitors to site. It encompasses ticket hall, parking, waiting spaces both indoor and outdoor and a green integrated interior spaces. The project aims to provide a good service and a comfortable environment for its users. Its foot print lying on a total of 935 meter square area. The project will mainly use local material predominantly timber and glazing materials for the construction.

Technical information

The building will primarily be a timber build project. It also integrates glazing system within it making most of the projects exterior curtain wall system and having an extra layer of a louvre timber facade. And a basement constructed with concrete material. The building structural system will have a radial frame structural system, making each columns made from timber material showcasing the tectonics of the building.
