The cultural-community center aims to revitalize the public space of the village square and create a new place for gathering of local residents. The design proposes visualization halls, library, café, swimming pool, and sauna. The intent is to create a cultural-community center with surrounding terraces and greenery that relates to the surrounding context.
The concept is a play with light. The building is meant to appear compact and act as one whole. The building is divided into two parts connected by a glazed passage, so that the building appears from the exterior as two parts connected by a rhythmic arcade, visually merging with the surroundings, making the building feel as one entity. The building features an exterior terrace connected to a multifunctional hall. The building has three entrances, with the main entry leading to the foyer, then to the main hall, library, café, and other facilities. The free space design includes landscaping of the surrounding environment with parking, pedestrian walkways, and green corridors.
The load-bearing structure uses a skeletal system with columns arranged in a regular grid. The partitions and walls are made of monolithic concrete. The floor structure is supported by beams and slabs. The entire building is founded on strip foundations that penetrate into the basement level. The building is designed as energy-efficient with an elevator. The ground floor structure is made of white fair-faced concrete, the facade is clad with light limestone, and the load-bearing columns are finished in a dark surface. Dark glass is used for glazing in frames and hyperbolic shapes.
