Project idea

A residential or mixed-use building integrated into an existing urban context, working with the relationship between old and new structures, incorporating green courtyards and natural elements within a compact site.

Project description

The project proposes a new building inserted into a small-town urban fabric, respecting the existing streetscape and neighboring buildings. The design features a combination of traditional pitched roof forms and contemporary additions with exposed concrete and stone materials. A central courtyard garden with lush vegetation creates an intimate outdoor space between building volumes. The project carefully mediates between the scale of surrounding residential buildings and introduces new architectural language through materiality and spatial organization.

Technical information

The construction combines reinforced concrete structure with stone and rammed earth wall elements. Detailed wall sections show layered construction with insulation, waterproofing membranes, and interior finishes. The building features large glazed openings connecting interior spaces to the courtyard garden. Floor plans show a rational layout with living spaces oriented toward the green courtyard. The section reveals multiple levels including a partially sunken lower floor taking advantage of the site topography.
