Architecture as a viewfinder for the surrounding landscape. The design of a family house on a slope with a magnificent view seeks to define a strong relationship between the view and the intimate residential environment.
The project is a steel-framed family house located in Letky near the Vltava river. The house is situated on a sloped terrain above the river, taking advantage of the topography to create panoramic views of the landscape. The design uses a steel structural system with large glazed facades that frame views of the surrounding nature. The building is organized on multiple levels following the natural slope, with living spaces oriented toward the river valley. The concept treats the house as a 'steel objective' (lens), creating carefully composed visual connections between interior spaces and the landscape.
The construction uses a steel frame structural system. The project includes detailed floor plans for multiple levels, cross-sections showing the building's integration into the sloped terrain, and a comprehensive construction detail at 1:20 scale. The composition plan at 1:50 shows material specifications and construction layers. The building features extensive glazing with steel framing elements, and the roof and wall assemblies are detailed with specific material layers and thermal performance considerations.
