Project idea

A family house integrated into the sloping terrain of Libčice nad Vltavou - Letky, featuring a green roof and natural material palette that harmonizes with the surrounding landscape.

Project description

The project is a single-family house designed on a sloping site in Libčice nad Vltavou - Letky. The architectural concept works with the terrain by embedding the building into the hillside, creating a two-story structure where the upper floor connects to the upper part of the slope and the lower floor opens to the garden. The design features a combination of white rendered volumes and timber-clad sections, with a prominent green roof covered in climbing vegetation that helps the building blend into the natural environment. The massing is composed of interlocking rectangular volumes arranged to create varied spatial relationships and optimize views. The layout spans two floors with living spaces on the ground floor opening to the garden and more private rooms on the upper level. The site plan shows the house positioned on a curved road with careful attention to landscape integration and access.

Technical information

The project includes detailed floor plans at 1:100 scale for both levels, four elevations (south, east-west, north, west), a longitudinal section at 1:100, a detailed wall section at 1:25, and an axonometric view. The site situation is shown at 1:5000 and the architectural site plan at 1:200. The construction detail reveals a conventional foundation system, reinforced concrete structure with thermal insulation, and an extensive green roof system. The building employs a combination of rendered masonry walls and timber cladding on the facade.
