A sports and recreational complex designed as an architecture of health, integrating community, sport, and relaxation functions into a coherent building with strong connections to outdoor spaces.
The project proposes a sports and recreational facility in Plzeň, organized around principles of health-oriented architecture. The building features a low-rise horizontal composition with corrugated metal cladding, large glazed facades, and generous connections to surrounding greenery. The program includes a gymnasium/sports hall, fitness areas, community spaces, and outdoor sports courts. The design emphasizes transparency, natural light, and visual connections between interior and exterior spaces. The site plan shows the facility integrated within an urban context with surrounding residential buildings, parking, and landscaped areas. Multiple levels accommodate different programmatic needs, with the sports hall as the primary volume.
The project includes detailed floor plans showing the spatial organization across multiple levels, cross-sections and longitudinal sections illustrating the structural system and spatial relationships. The building uses a steel and concrete structural system with corrugated metal facade cladding. The axonometric drawing reveals the overall massing and roof configuration with varying heights for different program areas. The sections show the double-height sports hall space and the relationship between different functional zones.
