Project idea

A mixed-use building complex in the city of Písek, integrating residential, commercial, and public functions with extensive green facades and courtyards to create a vibrant urban environment.

Project description

The project proposes a polyfunctional building complex situated in the city of Písek. The design features multiple building volumes organized around a central courtyard, creating a semi-public green space. The ground floors accommodate commercial and retail functions with a shopping passage, while the upper floors contain residential apartments of various typologies. The buildings incorporate extensive vertical greenery on the facades, green terraces, and rooftop gardens including penthouse units. The architectural expression combines contemporary materiality with a strong emphasis on biophilic design, using green walls and planted terraces to soften the urban character and improve the microclimate.

Technical information

The project includes site plans at 1:5000 and 1:1000 scales, floor plans of typical floors for buildings A and B at 1:150 scale, ground floor plans, sections, and elevations at 1:500 scale. The complex consists of several interconnected building masses with varying heights. Floor plans show efficient apartment layouts organized around central circulation cores. The section drawing reveals the relationship between commercial ground floors and residential upper levels, with a parking basement. Facade views from different directions show the rhythm of green elements integrated into the building envelope.
