Project idea

A Museum of Contemporary Art designed as a prominent cultural building integrated into the urban context, featuring a translucent facade and generous public spaces.

Project description

The project proposes a Museum of Contemporary Art situated in Prague. The building is conceived as a multi-story structure with floor plans spanning from underground level (1.PP) through five above-ground floors (1.NP to 5.NP). The design features a striking white/translucent exterior envelope with trees integrated into the surrounding landscape. The entrance hall is a dramatic interior space with exposed structural elements, natural light, and interior greenery. The building connects to nearby cycling paths and urban infrastructure, with careful attention to the site context shown in urban situation diagrams and axonometric views.

Technical information

The building includes multiple floor levels from 1.PP to 5.NP with detailed floor plans showing structural grid, circulation cores, and exhibition spaces. Longitudinal sections through the building and entrance hall reveal the spatial organization and structural system. Construction details show facade connection elements and material junctions. The structural system appears to use a column grid with V-shaped supports visible in the interior renderings.
