A mixed-use building designed for the revitalization of an area near the Thomayer Hospital in Prague 4, Krč, integrating urban functions with landscaped public spaces.
The project proposes a polyfunctional building situated near the Thomayer Hospital in Prague 4, Krč. The design addresses the urban context by creating a curved, multi-story structure that accommodates various functions including commercial spaces, offices, residential units, and community facilities. The ground floor features public amenities such as a library branch, group study rooms, a florist, café, and changing rooms. Upper floors contain apartments and office spaces. The building is organized around a landscaped courtyard and public green space with pedestrian paths connecting to the surrounding neighborhood. The urban analysis considers automobile transport routes and pedestrian paths, proposing improved connectivity between the hospital complex and the residential area.
The building section shows a multi-story structure with approximately 5 above-ground floors. Floor plans are provided at 1:200 and 1:300 scales. The ground floor (1NP) includes spaces for a bookstore, exhibition hall, group study rooms, WC facilities, administration, florist shop, café, and changing cabinets. The 2nd floor plan (2NP) shows residential and mixed-use layouts. Floors 3-5 (3-5NP) contain repeating residential/office units. The curved plan geometry creates a distinctive urban form responding to the site's corner condition.
