A timber-constructed resilience hub located at the city-waterfront transition zone in Fethiye, serving as both a daily community center and an emergency response facility.
The project is situated between the city center of Fethiye and the marina waterfront, forming a transition zone between the urban fabric and the shoreline at the intersection of different user profiles. The design emphasizes urban connection as an active axis linking the city center to the shore, waterfront connection linking the marina and waterfront promenade with the urban fabric, green space relationships with parks and recreational areas, pedestrian accessibility, and emergency access. The building features a functional green heart and active coastal edge concept. In daily scenarios, users are distributed from a central node to surrounding functions including reading areas, children's library, workshop areas, social areas, and education areas. In emergency scenarios, all pedestrian movements are gathered at the center for organization and relocation, with a crisis management center, information distribution point, waterfront info center, technical support, volunteer center, and first aid area.
Site plan at 1/500 scale. The structure is primarily timber construction. The site is positioned along the waterfront promenade connecting park/recreation areas to the city center, with direct access to Fethiye Gulf and the marina.
