A residential building in the center of Dobrušky designed as 'third housing' for the older generation who no longer want to maintain a large house with a garden but wish to live actively and in contact with the city.
The project proposes an apartment building in the center of Dobrušky intended for seniors. The building is located next to the local cinema, and a path leading directly from the plot toward the square naturally connects residents with the city center. The bustle of the surroundings is balanced by a large, calm garden within the project. The house consists of two residential blocks connected by a shared in-between space. This space intentionally functions not just as a corridor but offers different activities on each floor for neighbors to meet — from grilling areas, raised herb beds, to card tables or communal football watching. The apartments are designed to respond to the changing needs of residents. Each has its own study that can easily be converted into a caregiver's room in the future. It is housing that provides seniors with facilities, safety, and the opportunity to stay at the center of activity.
The building features two residential blocks with shared intermediate spaces on each level. Floor plans show apartment layouts with adaptable rooms. The project includes site plan integration within the existing urban fabric of Dobrušky, sections showing multi-story organization, and detailed floor plans with unit arrangements.
