Project idea

The inspiration for this project was not just the need for a dedicated church building for the local golgota church but to create a building that reacts to the needs of the people who use it. It was designed not just to be sustainable but to sustain people. It was designed to home the church, be able to help them welcome in students who are new to the town, to be a home for those who are lost and aid the church in hosting events and the daily running of the church.

Project description

The project consists of a sanctuary, a foyer, counselling rooms, office, childcare rooms, a multi-purpose room (music practice room, youth room), kitchen.

Technical information

The construction is structural brick with a brick facade on certain elements. The roof of the sanctuary is a suspended ceiling with bent gypsum board to make the roof.
