Design of a family house in a mountain environment.
The building is designed as a family house with one above-ground floor, a residential attic and a basement. It is suitable for a family of three, with children of different ages. The main purpose of the design was to use the location of the land and the possible view of the surrounding Tatra environment. It also serves as a place for meetings and activities. A family house project features a gabled roof form with large glazed areas, combining traditional massing with contemporary architectural elements.
Structurally, the house is designed with a wall-bearing system. The design considers the use of Britterm brand burnt bricks, 500 mm thick, which form the perimeter supporting structure of the house. Britterm brand burnt bricks, 250 mm thick, were also used, which formed the internal supporting partitions of the house. The roof with a slope of 45° consists of a wooden truss covered with concrete roofing, with inter-rafter and sub-rafter thermal insulation made of mineral wool. Heating is provided by panel and ladder-type radiators (the ladder type is used only in the bathrooms).
