Project idea

A sanctuary carved by nature, designed for healing. A resort project located in the Eastern Sector of Marsa Matrouh, Egypt, integrating natural landscape with wellness-oriented architecture.

Project description

The White Plateau is a resort and wellness sanctuary situated in Marsa Matrouh, Egypt. The design features organic, curvilinear architectural forms that appear to emerge from the natural landscape. The project incorporates water features, lush palm tree landscaping, and terraced building volumes that harmonize with the coastal environment. The resort includes outdoor pool areas, lounging spaces, and multi-level accommodation wings with sweeping horizontal lines inspired by the natural plateau formations of the region.

Technical information

The hotel uses a hybrid structural system, with reinforced concrete upper floors supported by a first-floor reinforced concrete transfer slab. The transfer slab redistributes loads to steel columns and/or reinforced concrete cores at the ground floor level. Other accommodation units, such as villas, chalets, studios, and cabins, use a load-bearing wall system.
