Building a cultural center dedicated to the important craft of copperwork in Darb al-Ahmar, Cairo, one of the most important areas characterized by an exceptional focus on crafts, arts, and heritage, as an important step in preserving heritage crafts that have been practiced for centuries in Egypt.
The vision of the SAN'A Cultural Center is based on reminding people of the importance of copperwork in Egypt and preserving visual identity and heritage, especially with continued technological advancements. The center acts as a 'living museum,' protecting the engraving, carving, and embossing techniques for which Egypt has been famous throughout the ages (Pharaonic, Islamic, and Coptic) and preventing the disappearance of these skills in the face of machine-made products.
Area: 3000 m². Location: Al Darb Al Ahmar, Cairo, Egypt. Software tools include AutoCAD, Photoshop, Cinema 4D, and 3ds Max.
