Design of a family house.
The family house in the village of kováčová is set among detached homes outside the village center, on the outskirts. With its simple shapes and sloping roof, it echoes the traditional houses in villages while utilizing modern technologies and materials to meet contemporary standards. Classic materials are used—hard-packed surfaces of plain concrete, an interior with exposed wood in the form of clt panels, which also serve a structural function. Due to its compact design, the house does not take up a large portion of the property, and that is precisely why more than 50% of the land remains covered with greenery. The south-facing garden, which is sunny almost all day long, is shaded by trees, which, thanks to the shade they provide, make it possible to enjoy the garden even on hot summer days.
The building is designed as a wooden structure with exposed wood in the interior. It is built on a reinforced concrete foundation slab insulated with foam glass. The substructure is insulated with asphalt membranes. The load-bearing structure of the single-family house is made of clt panels of laminated glued timber. The floor structure at ground level is constructed using a wet process with an anhydrite screed, under which are system flooring panels. The wall structure features a ventilated air gap, isolated with blown-in insulation and a wood-fiber facade board. The floor on the ceiling does not involve wet processes, and the structure consists of a load-bearing section made of clt panels and fiber-reinforced floor boards. The sloping roof includes a supporting structure made of clt panels and wodfiber insulation above the rafters. The roof covering is made of standing seam metal sheet. Drainage of the sloping roof is handled by a concealed gutter system. Wood-aluminum facade windows provide a direct connection to the exterior, and large wood-aluminum hs porches in the living areas on the first story. Adequate lighting for the second story is provided by skylights.
