Interior Design Proposal for the Council Meeting Room and Ceremonial Hall at the Municipal Office of Plzeň 4 – Doubravka.
The project proposes interior designs for two key spaces within the ÚMO 4 municipal office: a meeting room (zasedací místnost) and a ceremonial hall (obřadní síň).
The proposal for the Municipal Office of Plzeň 4 – Doubravka comprises the complete interior design of the Council Meeting Room and the Ceremonial Hall, with an emphasis on functionality, technical performance, and a representative architectural expression.
The Council Meeting Room is designed to accommodate 7 seats at the main council table, 30 seats for council members, and 32 seats for the public. A raised platform ensures clear sightlines throughout the space, while the integrated audiovisual system includes a retractable projection screen, two large-format displays, and a television screen. Acoustic performance is achieved through recycled PET acoustic wall panels, complemented by a feature wall finished with slatted panels incorporating a metallic veneer, creating a distinctive focal point within the interior.
The Ceremonial Hall is conceived as a flexible multi-purpose venue for wedding ceremonies, receptions, and other civic events. In its standard configuration, the hall accommodates 48 seated guests. A movable acoustic partition system enables the space to be expanded, increasing the seating capacity to 80 guests and allowing the hall to adapt to events of different scales. Acoustic wall panels ensure high sound quality while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic suitable for a variety of functions.
The project combines adaptable spatial solutions, durable low-maintenance materials, integrated acoustic treatments, and flexible partitioning systems to create a versatile civic interior capable of supporting a wide range of official, ceremonial, and social events.
