A contemporary maritime hub that reconnects Suez with its waterfront by integrating education, innovation, maritime culture, and public spaces. Inspired by the movement of water, the project strengthens the city's identity as a vibrant maritime destination.
The project transforms the Suez waterfront into an integrated destination combining a Maritime Academy, innovation center, exhibition spaces, conference facilities, and public promenades.
The design evolves through massing, fragmentation, and a flowing shell inspired by ocean waves. A central spine connects all functions, while stepped terraces and open public spaces strengthen the relationship between the architecture and the waterfront, creating a dynamic destination for learning, interaction, and community engagement.
The project employs a hybrid structural system combining reinforced concrete, steel space-frame structures, and an ETFE roof canopy to achieve large column-free spans.
Passive environmental strategies include green roofs, natural ventilation, solar shading, high-performance glazing with timber fins, and waterfront-oriented planning to enhance daylight, thermal comfort, and energy efficiency.
