Project idea

Rawabet Business Hub is a futuristic entrepreneurship and innovation hub located in Port Said, Egypt. The project addresses the shortage of integrated environments that support startups, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts by creating a collaborative ecosystem where innovation, networking, and business development coexist.

The name "Rawabet" (Connections in arabic) reflects the project's primary vision: transforming isolated entrepreneurial journeys into meaningful collaborations. Inspired by the concept that "parallel lines shall intersect," the design encourages encounters, knowledge exchange, mentorship, and partnership through carefully planned spatial experiences. The project combines sustainable interior urbanism, smart technologies, and human-centered design to establish a business hub that supports Egypt's growing entrepreneurial ecosystem while contributing to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure).

Project description

Rawabet Business Hub is a multifunctional innovation and business incubation center designed to empower entrepreneurs, startup founders, independent professionals, investors, and business leaders within a single collaborative environment.

Located in Port Said, the project responds to the city's growing economic potential while addressing the lack of flexible entrepreneurial infrastructure. The design integrates coworking spaces, private offices, meeting rooms, event spaces, workshops, networking lounges, cafés, and collaborative hubs that promote creativity and professional growth.

The architectural and interior concept is driven by fluid movement and interconnected spaces, symbolizing the relationships formed between entrepreneurs and industry experts. Sustainable materials, smart building technologies, renewable energy strategies, daylight optimization, and user-centered spatial planning create an environment that enhances productivity, wellbeing, and environmental performance.

Rather than functioning as a conventional office building, Rawabet acts as a dynamic innovation ecosystem where business ideas can evolve through collaboration, mentorship, education, and investment opportunities, strengthening Egypt's entrepreneurial landscape while positioning Port Said as an emerging innovation destination.
