An integrated aquaculture and fisheries hub designed as a waterfront complex with shell-inspired organic architecture.
NilusForo is an architectural project for an integrated aquaculture and fisheries hub. The design features a series of dome-like structures with distinctive striped shell-inspired cladding, situated on the waterfront. The complex appears to comprise multiple interconnected buildings of varying scales, creating a cohesive maritime facility that accommodates fishing and aquaculture operations alongside harbor infrastructure.
Free-form shell structures inspired from sea shells generated from interconnected 3D steel space frames and supported by branching tree columns. The envelope combines prefabricated GRC panels with high-performance glass curtain walls to achieve lightweight construction, long-span flexibility, and an expressive architectural identity inspired by seashells, fishing nets, and the flowing geometry of the Nile waterfront.
